Road traffic accidents (RTAs) have emerged as a vital public health issue that has to be tackled by a multidisciplinary approach. The trend in RTA injuries and death is changing into dreadful in countries like Bharat. The quantity of fatal and disabling road accident happening is increasing day by day and could be a real public health challenge for all the involved agencies to stop it. The approach to implement the principles and laws offered to prevent road accidents is usually ineffective and halfhearted. An accident is a situation; independent of human will cause by an outside force acting rapidly and leads to physical or mental injury. Accident makes ways to the third leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the developing and developed countries.Injuries at home constitute the majority of accidental injuries in children aged. Awareness creation, strict implementation of traffic rules, and scientific engineering measures are the requirement of the hour to stop this public health catastrophe. Therefore, special and continuous health education of schoolchildren, like child-to-child program in their formative years, improves their knowledge and helps to develop positive attitude and healthy practices, which will eventually contribute to reduce RTA and diseases such as diarrhea and malnutrition not only among the children but also among their family members. This article is meant to make awareness among the health professionals regarding the assorted modalities offered to stop road accidents and additionally to infuse a way of responsibility toward spreading the message of road safety as an honest subject of our country.
